  1. @PilotUTA It was a deal between pre-merger United Airlines. Since PMUA operates it’s flights out of Terminal A, some of those flights were moved to Continental’s Terminal C which gave a few vacant slots. It was really coming down to Virgin America and Southwest, which to tell you the truth, I wish it was Virgin America. Virgin has been trying to get into Newark for almost 4 years now.

  2. From Newark Southwest flies to Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Denver, Houston-Hobby, Phoenix, St. Louis. They got the slots at EWR in a trade with American Airlines if Im not mistaken.
